<br />anoeared before the Board in connection with a road leading from a new road
<br />near the Lockhart farm to the home of '•ir. Lockhart. ?.Ir, Rene reo uested th¢t

<br />Don S. :3a the son, County Fe rm Agent, introduced Doctor Rogers, Vete ri neriar
<br />with the Fe ds rel Government, who is in this County for the purpose of testing
<br />cattle for bangs disease. I~Ir. 1Aathes on stated the only cost to the County in
<br />this program would be to furnish Dr. Rogers a ha leer.
<br />Upon motion of Commissioner nflend, so co ndad by Co::,missioner Hobbs, it we:
<br />ordered that Orenre County pay the salary of a helper for Dr. Rogers in order
<br />to carry out the program.
<br />A road petition was present ed for e road in Cheeks Tow nshiP running from
<br />Cedar Grove Highway to farm of Peul Richard Shelton, a distance of 310 mile.
<br />tv*o action was taken at this time.
<br />Chairmen Forrest reported that he had been contacted by Lirs. dine L]etthexr:
<br />of the Social Security Board, relative to her using the Grand Jury Room in the
<br />ilevr Courthouse for her meetings.
<br />After soma discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Bflend, seconded by
<br />Commissioner Hobbs, the Boe rd rejected the request of Lirs. ?ftattheers.
<br />tdrs. Jere Parker, Superintendent or public t'~elfere, reported that she had
<br />closed the Chapel Hill Office.
<br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, the Board approved the -'ollowinr,
<br />changes in P.id to 311 nd Grants: Ctargeret Rt. Clark--rejected; Hattye R.
<br />Rey--increased.
<br />Rtrs. ?arker stated that she had some other changes to be made in Aid to
<br />Blind Grants, but did not have thorn complete at this time. The Board approved
<br />these changes end authorized the Cha irmsn to sign same when presented to him.
