Animal Control Ordinance <br /> (1) The Redemption Privilege Tax shall be: <br /> Number of Redemption or Impoundment Redemption or Impoundment <br /> Prior Privilege Tax Privilege Tax <br /> Incidents <br /> Sterilized Animal Reproductive Animal <br /> 0 $25.00 $50.00 <br /> 1 $50.00 $100.00 <br /> 2 $100.00 $200.00 <br /> 3 or more $200.00 $400.00 <br /> (2) For reproductive animals with two or more prior incidents, $100 of the <br /> redemption privilege tax shall be considered a sterilization deposit, which may be <br /> refunded to the owner if they provide to Animal Services proof of sterilization in the <br /> form of a veterinarian record within 90 days of recover of the animal. <br /> (d) In order to defray the costs of administering and enforcing ordinances adopted under <br /> this Chapter, and in order to account for the additional costs of locating, responding to <br /> and caring for unvaccinated and unlicensed animals found within the County, <br /> additional fees shall be assessed as follows if the Owner or Keeper of an animal fails <br /> to pay the following fees within the time specified in the Ordinance: <br /> Failure to Vaccinate for Rabies (Section 4-46) $ 200.00 <br /> Failure to Wear Rabies Tag (Section 4-47) $ 50.00 <br /> Failure to License (Section 4-35) $ 200.00 <br /> (e) For any stray animal that has been impounded by Animal Services there shall be a <br /> microchip fee that shall be determined by the Board of County Commissioners in the <br /> Budget Ordinance. <br /> (f) Inspection fees, as provided in this Chapter, shall be set by the Board of County <br /> Commissioners in the Budget Ordinance. <br /> (Ord. of 6-16-1987, § V, eff. 1-1-1988;Amend. of 12-2-1996, eff. 1-1-1997; Ord. of 12-3-2007, <br /> eff. 7-1-2008) <br /> Sec. 4-36. - Ordinance. <br /> All other Orange County ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance-are hereby repealed <br /> to the extent they conflict with this Ordinance.
