ColTection of Damage to Property: The Contractor shall be responsible for repair or <br /> replacement of materials that are damaged during construction activities and are not <br /> documented to have been existing prior to beginning the work. Items/materials that are <br /> damaged shall be returned to original condition prior to conclusion of construction <br /> activities. If return to original condition is not possible or practical, Contractor shall <br /> replace items/materials with new as approved by the Designer and the Owner. The <br /> Owner reserves the right to perform prompt repairs/replacement to such damages with its <br /> own forces and to reduce the Contract Sum by such an amount to reimburse for repairs. <br /> required. <br /> 1.07 Contractor Use of Premises: <br /> A. Limit use of premises for construction operations to allow for Owner occupancy. <br /> B. Coordinate use of premises under direction.of the Owner. <br /> C. The Contractor shall be held liable for any damages to the building,the building contents, <br /> or its occupancy resulting from work under this contract. <br /> D. Keep driveways and entrances serving the premises clear and available at all times. Do <br /> not use areas for vehicle parking or storage of materials or equipment. <br /> E. No tobacco product usage is permitted. <br /> F. Only the superintendent and foreman will be allowed in the building, unless during an <br /> emergency. <br /> G. There shall be no contact between workers and the occupants of the building. <br /> 1.08 Owner Occupancy: <br /> Owner will occupy premises during entire period of construction to conduct normal operations. <br /> The Contractor shall cooperate with Owner to minimize conflict, and to facilitate Owner's <br /> operations. <br /> 1.09 Coordination: <br /> A. Coordinate work of the various sections of specifications to assure efficient and orderly <br /> sequence of installation of materials. <br /> B. Coordinate work under this contract with other contract work relating to the same <br /> building/roof areas to assure efficient and orderly sequence of installation of materials. <br /> 1.10 Reference Standards: <br /> A. Products specified by association or trade standards must comply with those standards, <br /> except when more rigid requirements are specified herein or are required by applicable <br /> codes. <br /> B. The date of the standard is that which is in effect as of the bid date unless otherwise <br /> stated. <br /> 16-171 Summary of Work <br /> 010100.3 <br />
