Insert the following Clauses: <br /> 11.1.2.1 The Contractor shall take out and maintain insurance of such types and <br /> in such amounts as are necessary to cover his responsibilities and liabilities under <br /> this Contract, and shall require all of his Subcontractors to carry similar <br /> insurance. <br /> 11.1.2.2 The Contractor shall not commence work under this Contract until he <br /> has obtained all insurance required by the GENERAL CONDITIONS of the <br /> Contract as amended herein, and such insurance has been approved in writing by <br /> the Owner, nor shall the Contractor allow any Subcontractor to commence work <br /> on his Contract until all similar insurance required of the Subcontractors has been <br /> so obtained and approved, unless otherwise authorized by the Architect. The <br /> Contractor and each Subcontractor shall take out and maintain all insurance with <br /> responsible companies authorized to do business in Virginia. <br /> 11.1.2.3 Each policy of insurance shall provide either in body of the policy or by <br /> appropriate endorsement to the policy that such policy cannot be altered or <br /> cancelled in less than thirty (30) days after mailing of written notice by <br /> Registered Mail to the insured and the Owner of such alterations or cancellations. <br /> 11.1.2.4 Insurance, as a minimum, shall include the following coverages: <br /> a. Statutory Liability Insurance: Workmen's Compensation and Occupation <br /> Disease, with statutory limits as provided by the State or other political <br /> subdivision in which this Contract is performed, and Employer's Liability <br /> Insurance. <br /> b. Comprehensive General Liability: (including Premises - Operations; <br /> Independent Contractor's Protection; Products and Completed <br /> Operations;Broad Form Property Damage): <br /> Bodily Injury: $1,000,000 each occurrence <br /> $2,000,000 aggregate, products and completed <br /> operations <br /> Property Damage: $1,000,000 each occurrence <br /> $2,000,000 aggregate <br /> c. Contractual Liability(Hold Harmless Coverage): <br /> Bodily Injury: $1,000,000 each occurrence <br /> Property Damage: $1,000,000 each occurrence <br /> $2,000,000 aggregate <br /> d. Personal Injury: $1,000,000 aggregate <br /> e. Comprehensive Automobile Liability (Owner,Non-Owner,Hired): <br /> Bodily Injury: $500,000 each person 1,000,000 each accident <br /> Property Damage: $1,000,000 each accident <br /> SGC - 15 <br />
