Paragraph 3.2"REVIEW OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND FIELD CONDITIONS <br /> BY CONTRACTOR" <br /> 1. In Subparagraph 3.2.1, in the last sentence,the phrase"...shall be reported promptly <br /> to the Architect..."is revised to read"...shall be reported promptly to the Owner and <br /> to the Architect...." <br /> 2. In Subparagraph 3.2.2, in the last sentence,the phrase"...shall be reported promptly <br /> to the Architect."is revised to read"...shall be reported promptly to the Owner and to <br /> the Architect." <br /> B. Paragraph 3.3 "SUPERVISION AND CONSTRUCTION PROCEDURES" <br /> 1. The next to last sentence is deleted and restated as follows: <br /> "If the Contractor determines that such means,methods,techniques, sequences or <br /> procedures may not be safe,the Contractor shall give timely written notice to the Owner <br /> and Architect and shall not proceed with that portion of the Work without further written <br /> instructions from the Owner." <br /> C. Subparagraph 3.4.2 is revised by adding the following sentence: <br /> "The Owner shall respond to recommended changes within 7 calendar days after receipt of <br /> the written evaluation of the Architect." <br /> D. Paragraph 3.5 "WARRANTY" <br /> 1. In Subparagraph 3.5.1, delete the last sentence and insert in its stead the <br /> following: "If requested by the Architect or Owner, the Contractor shall furnish <br /> to the requesting party satisfactory evidence as to the kind and quality of <br /> materials and equipment." <br /> E. Paragraph 3.6 "TAXES" <br /> 1. In Subparagraph 3.6.1 delete the period at the end of Subparagraph 3.6.1 and add <br /> the words "except as otherwise specified". <br /> 2. Add the following Subparagraphs as set forth below: <br /> 3.6.2 The proposal sum of each bidder shall include North Carolina Sales Tax. <br /> 3.6.3 The Contractor shall list and provide a total of sales taxes paid during each <br /> month by County of North Carlolina on a form to be furnished by the Owner. <br /> Such listings shall include sales taxes paid by the Contractor and his <br /> Subcontractors and shall be submitted along with each monthly request for <br /> payment. <br /> 3.6.4 In those instances where a Contractor purchases materials from a <br /> Subcontractor and/or materials made for use in construction work for the Owner <br /> and pays sales or use tax on such materials,he shall report monthly the amount of <br /> SGC-4 <br />
