Bids are to be submitted on the form enclosed in the specification booklet. Bidders were <br /> advised that line items and unit costs are listed and that costs are to be provided for all items. <br /> All blanks are to be filled in(even if a 0). <br /> B. Bid Bond required. <br /> C. Perfoumance,and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are not required. <br /> D. Bidders advised to acknowledge all addenda on the Proposal Form. Failure to do so will not <br /> alleviate the contractor of responsibility for the items referenced in the addenda. <br /> E. Examination of Conditions - Bidders were advised to visit the sites and thoroughly <br /> familiarize themselves with all project conditions. Additional site visits can be arranged <br /> by notifying Angel Barnes (abarnes @orangecountync.gov) or via phone at 919-245- <br /> 2628. <br /> IV. PROPOSAL FORM <br /> The Proposal Form is bound in the specification booklet and is to be utilized for submission of bids. <br /> Bids are to be effective for 60 days. <br /> Project time of 45 calendar days is noted on the Proposal Form. <br /> Form of Contract is bound within the specification booklet. <br /> V. INSURANCE <br /> Insurance limits are noted in the specifications. All insurance is to be in full force and effect prior to <br /> award of contract. Bidders were advised to note special requirements of Orange County. <br /> VI. SPECIFICATIOS <br /> Section 010100—Summary of Work <br /> Brief Summary of Work as follows: <br /> o Removing and disposing of existing roof system to include membrane, flashings, and <br /> accessories down to the gypsum deck. <br /> o Repair of damaged areas of the deck. <br /> o Replacement of damaged wood nailers,blocking, and trim. <br /> o Furnishing and installing new polymer modified bituminous base ply. <br /> o Furnishing and installing new board insulation;all insulation set in adhesive. <br /> o Furnishing and installing new polymer modified bituminous membrane roof system to <br /> include all related flashings and accessories. <br /> o Furnishing and installing new sheet metal flashing and trim to include edging and <br /> miscellaneous trim. <br /> o Furnishing and installing a new roof hatch. <br /> o Furnishing and installing new safety rail system around roof hatch. Safety rail to be <br /> similar or approved equal to Bil-Guard Hatch Railing System by Bilco. <br /> o Furnishing and installing new wall-mounted ladder. <br />
