General: Provide preformed, roofing insulation boards that comply with requirements, <br /> selected from manufacturer's standard sizes and of thicknesses indicated. <br /> B. Flat and Tapered Insulation: Shall be a closed-cell polyisocyanurate foam core with <br /> factory laminated heavy-duty fiberglass facers. Foam core shall have a flame spread of <br /> 25 or less and shall have a minimum density of 2 pcf; compressive strength shall be 25 <br /> psi minimum. Board insulation shall conform to ASTM E108, ASTM C518, ASTM <br /> 1289-11 Type II Class 1 Grade 3, ASTM C1303-11, ASTM D1621, ASTM D1622, <br /> Factory Mutual 4450, and Underwriters Laboratories 1256. Board insulation shall meet <br /> CAN/ULC S770 test method for determining Long Term Thermal Resistance (LTTR) <br /> values and shall meet International Building Code requirements for 5-year thermal value. <br /> Board insulation shall be a maximum of 4' by 4' in size. Facers of board insulation shall <br /> be compatible with the roof system type. <br /> 1) Flat board material shall be a minimum thickness of 1.50 inches. <br /> 2) Tapered board material shall be factory-cut to a finished slope of 1/8 inch per <br /> foot with a minimum thickness of 0.5 inches. Tapered insulation for crickets and <br /> saddles shall be factory-cut to a slope of 1/2 inch per foot unless otherwise noted. <br /> Provide preformed saddles, crickets, tapered edge strips, and other insulation <br /> shapes for sloping to drain. <br /> C. Polymer Modified Bituminous Membrane Base Sheet: Shall be a polymer modified <br /> membrane with non-woven polyester reinforcement, thickness approximately 90 mils. <br /> Membrane shall conform to the requirements of ASTM D6163-97, ASTM D6164-97, <br /> ASTM D6222,ASTM D5147,ASTM D412 and UL 790. <br /> 2.02 Accessories <br /> A. Adhesive: Shall be a high performance adhesive, asbestos and solvent free, and Factory <br /> Mutual approved for fire and wind. The membrane manufacturer shall approve of the <br /> adhesive. The adhesive must be included in the roof system warranty. Adhesive types <br /> include: <br /> 1.
