Remove top surface of gypsum to expose wire mesh. If any of the wires are rusted <br /> through, then entire are of gypsum including the mesh and full thickness of gypsum and <br /> form board must be replaced. Continue remove top surface of gypsum in all directions <br /> down to wire mesh until uncorroded wire mesh is found. <br /> C. Remove gypsum fill from inside of once complete formboarde panel. Cut wire mesh and <br /> remove both the wire mesh and formboard. Leave a minimum 3-inch length of wire <br /> mesh next to bulb tees to allow tie-in to new mesh after installation of new foinn board.. <br /> 3.03 Installation <br /> A. Replace existing formboard with new gypsum board sprayed both sides with a 50/50 <br /> bleach and water solution. Install galvanixed cross tees at ends of boards that do not fall <br /> on joists for support. <br /> B. Tie new reinforcing mesh into existing wire mesh at each bulb tee. Place reinforcing <br /> mesh with 16 gauge wird at right angles to sub-purlins. Lap mesh ends a minimum of 6 <br /> inches; do not lap sides of mesh. <br /> C. Mix gypsum or concrete patch material in accordance with manufacture <br /> recommendations. Use heated wter when temperatire is below 40 degrees. Install slurry <br /> on flashes of bulb tees and cross tees. Keep equipment clean and avoid flash set of <br /> gypsum or concrete patch. <br /> D. Add a 2-inch wide line of slurry across diagonals of each formboard. After slurry and <br /> diagonal pattern has set, mix additional gypsum or concrete patch material. Slowly pour <br /> wet mix onto new fortnboard and screed to desired thickness.
