Commissioner Gordon agreed that the group should move, forward toward solutions. She <br />saidthat it might be worthwhile to explore options in the event. that an increase in ad <br />valorem funding does not provide full funding for the city district's requested operating <br />budget. She asked if there were alternative mechanisms, other than the district tax, to <br />make up the diffe7ence. She also said that we need an approach to funding new schools <br />in the city district, and it might be useful to explore alternatives to bond funding to fund <br />those capital needs. <br />The group set its next meeting: Tuesday, June 6, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Southern <br />`Human Services Center.. <br />12 <br />
