9 <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REPORT—TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH <br /> • The Town Public Information Office and Economic Development are working together <br /> to improve the resources available on the Town's website to prospective business owners <br /> and those looking to start and expand business in Town. The Town would like to engage <br /> with small business owners and entrepreneurs more. <br /> • The Town's Economic Development Planner is now the first and main point of contact <br /> for those looking to start, relocate, or expand their business in Town. This position can <br /> assist with questions regarding land use, zoning,parking, obtaining building permits, <br /> availability property and vacancies in existing buildings within the Town of <br /> Hillsborough. <br /> • The Town continues to work with the real estate brokers to market available retail <br /> locations at Waterstone, Oakdale Village, Hampton Pointe, and vacant anchor tenant <br /> space at the North Hills Shopping Center. <br /> • The Town has been working closely with the Orange County Economic Development <br /> Office which has graciously assisted in providing existing data and reports to help the <br /> Town entice new business.
