Binkley Memorial Baptist Church to <br /> be used to provide support for the Family Success Alliance, specifically to kick- <br /> start college savings accounts for Kindergarten Readiness Program participants. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 5) <br /> 7. The Health Department has received notification of the state-wide discontinuation of the <br /> Reducing Health Disparities grant program. Due to the grant being discontinued, the <br /> Health Department is able to begin collecting revenue (through Medicaid, Insurance, and <br /> Self-Pay) to fully fund the cost of this position within the General Fund. While receiving <br /> the grant, the Health Department was ineligible to collect these revenues, as the State <br /> was fully funding the program. This budget amendment provides for the elimination of the <br /> FY2016-17 budget for this grant project (see amended grant project ordinance below) <br /> and for the increase in charges for services ($56,916) within the General Fund to <br /> continue funding the position that was previously associated with the Reducing Health <br /> Disparities grant program.
