3 <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable <br /> to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks & Recreation <br /> 4. The Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks & Recreation anticipates $7,697 in <br /> additional revenue, from a special camp held at New Hope Elementary, in collaboration <br /> with the Health Department and the Family Success Alliance. These funds will be used to <br /> cover seasonal staff cost associated with the camp. (See Attachment 1, column 3) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable <br /> to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION AND <br /> INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br /> origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br /> or economic status. <br /> Department of Economic Development <br /> 5. The Department of Economic Development has received a donation of $250 from <br /> Piedmont Electric Membership Corporation to support a collaboration between the <br /> Economic Development Department, Piedmont Electric Membership Corporation, and the <br /> Chapel Hill and Orange County Visitors Bureau to provide a bus tour for residents to visit <br /> 3 farms. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds in FY <br /> 2016-17. These funds will be used for additional staff training, <br /> interpreter services, and cleaning supplies <br />
