County Manager's Report <br /> 7 Bonnie Hammersley reviewed the following information: <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Projected October 6, 2016 Joint Meeting with Chiefs' Council Agenda Items <br /> 10 • Fire Departments' Accomplishments During 2015 <br /> 11 • Radio Infrastructure Including Paging <br /> 12 • Discussion on PageTrack Software <br /> 13 • Training Facilities for County First Responders <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Projected October 6, 2016 Regular Work Session Items <br /> 16 • Detention Center: Update on Project Schedule and Discussion of Potential Scope <br /> 17 Expansion to Include Law Enforcement Center/Sheriff's Offices <br /> 18 • Discussion of Body-Worn Cameras <br /> 19 • Written Consent to Search Requirement for Law Enforcement <br /> 20 <br /> 21 10. County Attorney's Report <br /> 22 John Roberts said the Board of Adjustment (BOA) will be hearing an appeal on the <br /> 23 flower farm/events center on Monday night. <br /> 24 Chair McKee said the turnout could exceed seating and asked if the venue could be <br /> 25 changed if necessary. <br /> 26 John Roberts said it is possible, and there is nothing illegal about it. He said if it <br /> 27 becomes apparent at a meeting that the public cannot entirely attend or view the meeting, a <br /> 28 brief recess may be taken, and the meeting be moved to a larger venue. <br /> 29 Commissioner Jacobs suggested moving the meeting to the Library next door. <br /> 30 Chair McKee asked Bonnie Hammersley and Jeff Thompson to look at other venues for <br /> 31 this meeting. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 11. Appointments <br /> 34 <br /> 35 a. Hillsborough Planning Board —Appointment <br /> 36 The Board considered making an appointment to the Hillsborough Planning Board. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Rich to <br /> 39 appoint the following to the Hillsborough Planning Board: <br /> 40 <br /> 41 • Appointment to a first full term (position #1) "Alternate Hillsborough ETJ /County" for <br /> 42 Carolyn Helfrich expiring 10/31/2019. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 45 <br /> 46 b.
