/ -,s- 9V <br /> K., <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> RESOLUTION IN MEMORIAM <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners has learned <br /> with deep regret of the death of Mr. Gordon Baylor Cleveland, <br /> a former member of the Orange County Board of Commissioners; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Gordon Baylor Cleveland did give untiring public <br /> service to his County, State, and Nation during his lifetime <br /> as a World War II Army Air Corps pilot; as a Board of <br /> Education member (1959-1962) ; as a County Commissioner (1962- <br /> 1966) ; and as a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill <br /> faculty member (1952-1982) ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Orange County Board <br /> of Commissioners recognizes the significant contributions of <br /> Gordon Baylor Cleveland to his community and on behalf of all <br /> the citizens of Orange County, commemorates his public <br /> service. <br /> FURTHERMORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT a copy of this resolution be <br /> forwarded to the family of Gordon Baylor Cleveland with the <br /> expressed sympathy of the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners. <br /> This, the 5th day of December, 1994. <br /> j J <br /> , ■ai%erdae <br /> Moses Carey, Jr. <br /> Chair, Orange County <br /> Board of Commissioner= <br />
