The implication_ is that evaluation and control systems will be <br /> implemented to assure proper performance on all the operations <br /> dimensions. <br /> In particular, we recommend the redesign of information systems to <br /> accommodate the site based management concept and to integrate and <br /> consolidate information flow throughout the system. The new system <br /> should accommodate the latest technology that would support educational <br /> and operational initiatives to the end of the decade. This includes <br /> preparation for the future information highway. <br /> The site based operations approach is a decentralized solution to many of <br /> the problems that trouble the system. This approach would place <br /> responsibility for successful operational performance directly on the <br /> schools and departments.
