At the <br /> meetings, residents will be given the opportunity to make statements or raise questions. <br /> STAFFING: <br /> Principal assistance to the Planning Group will be provided by the Planning Applications 223 Class of the <br /> Department of City&Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina.The faculty advisor for the class <br /> is Professor David Godschalk. <br /> The following local government staff shall serve as advisors to the Planning 223 Class and provide support to <br /> the Planning Group: <br /> • Orange County Staff <br /> - County Manager John Link <br /> - County Attorney Geoffrey Gledhill <br /> - Planning Director Marvin Collins <br /> • Hillsborough Town Staff <br /> - Town Manager Eric Swanson <br /> - Town Attorney Michael Brough <br /> - Planning Director Margaret Hauth <br /> PROJECT TIME SCHEDULE & GUIDELINES: <br /> Time Schedule: The Planning Group shall adhere the following general meeting schedule that will allow it <br /> to make its preliminary recommendations no later than May, 1994. Every attempt will be made to conduct a <br /> public hearing no later than June, 1994 on proposed changes to Town or County policies,plans or ordinances. <br /> January, 1995 Planning Group conducts organizational meeting to review/confirm its charge, <br /> meet the class and faculty advisor,and establish general procedures for citizen <br /> particpation. <br /> February, 1995 Planning Group meets with class to review the following: <br /> • Baseline information, including, but not limited to, existing land use, <br /> traffic conditions, population trends, development activity, and <br /> natural/cultural features. <br />
