2 <br /> Town of Hillsborough,including the preparation of amendments to the Agreement <br /> as may be recommended by the Planning Group. <br /> The second charge(copy attached)would establish a Stoney Creek Basin Planning <br /> Group responsible for preparing a land use plan, including recommendations for <br /> implementation,for the Stoney Creek Basin Planning Area southeast of the town <br /> of Hillsborough. <br /> Assistance to the Planning Group would be provided by a graduate level class at <br /> the Department of City&Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina <br /> as well as Town and County staff. The attached Memorandum of Understanding <br /> with the Department of City & Regional Planning includes a services contract <br /> amount of$2000 to cover the cost of a teaching assistant. Funds are available in <br /> the Planning Department budget to cover this cost. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the proposed charges, <br /> including authorization for the County Manager to sign the Memorandum <br /> of Understanding with the Department of City and Regional Planning. <br />
