One goal adopted by the Board is related directly to <br /> continuing efforts by Hillsborough and Orange County to cooperatively plan for <br /> growth in the central portion of the county. Associated with that goal was the <br /> following objective: <br /> • Initiate a small area planning process in the Cooperative Planning Area <br /> within an area defined generally by the Stoney Creek drainage basin. <br /> In November, 1994, the Board of Commissioners and the Hillsborough Town <br /> Board met jointly to discuss the status of the Cooperative Planning Agreement. <br /> The two governing boards agreed in principle to the following: <br /> • To review the Cooperative Planning Agreement between Orange County <br /> and the Town of Hillsborough, including the preparation of amendments <br /> to the Agreement. Such amendments may address, but not be limited to, <br /> annexation, open space defuution, and water/sewer service boundaries. <br /> • To initiate a small area planning process in the Cooperative Planning Area <br /> within an area defined generally by the Stoney Creek drainage basin. <br /> To implement the initiatives agreed to by the governing boards,charges have been <br /> prepared which would create two work groups. The first charge (copy attached) <br /> establishes a Cooperative Planning Work Group which would be responsible for <br /> reviewing the Cooperative Planning Agreement between Orange County and the <br />
