The central theme of <br /> the entire strategic planning process has been a shift to focus on <br /> patient outcome as the main factor in planning delivery of emergency <br /> medical service in Orange County. <br /> Norm Gustaveson, Chair of the EMS Strategic Planning Task Force and Dr. <br /> Tom Griggs, Medical Affairs Officer, will provide a brief review of the <br /> strategic planning process and results to date. Recommendations in <br /> five areas - prevention/public health education, training and staff <br /> development, equipment, communication/integration, and evaluation and <br /> followup - are included in the attached matrices. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board receive the <br /> report as information only. <br /> 1 ,,01 <br /> b-' <br /> I <br />
