This resolution established the <br /> starting salary for the Sheriff's position as Step 1 <br /> of Salary Grade 80 in the Orange County Classification <br /> and Pay Plan. It established the starting salary <br /> for the Register of Deeds position as Step 1 of <br /> Salary Grade 78 . <br /> The September 1993 resolution provided that it would <br /> not be altered or amended until after the persons <br /> elected Sheriff and Register of Deeds in the 1994 <br /> election take office. Thereafter, it provided the <br /> Board of Commissioners may adjust the starting salary <br /> of the candidate elected considering the years of <br /> service and performance in related experience of the <br /> person elected. <br /> Pursuant to the September 1993 resolution, the <br /> attached resolution establishes the starting salary of <br /> the Sheriff and the Register of Deeds based on service <br /> and performance. The salaries shown are the current <br /> salaries of the Sheriff and Register of Deeds. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends the Board adopt the attached <br /> resolution. <br />
