The Board also set a public hearing for <br />March 27s' on a draft ordinance that will, if adopted, enact asix-month moratorium on residential, development. The <br />review process includes appointment of a committee made up of advisory board members, at-large citizens, and <br />representatives of the Board of Aldermen, Town of Chapel Hill, Orange County and the University of North <br />Carolina at Chapel Hill. You may review the materials associated with this matter (Item D4) on the Town's website <br />at http•//www townofcarrboro or~JBoA/Agendas/2007/02 20 2007.htm. A map of tine Northern Study Area is <br />included among these materials. <br />The Board has directed staff to request that the Town of Chapel Bill and the University of North Carolina at Chapel <br />IFill each identify one representative who will serve on the Northern Study Area Plan Implementation Review <br />Committee (NSAPIRC). The Board, did. not specify the number of representatives to be identified by the Board of <br />County Commissioners. The schedule for this process is fairly tight; the first meeting of the NSAPIRC is scheduled <br />far Thursday, March 15'x, at 7:30 p.m. As the Board of Aldermen will be malting appointments to the committee on <br />Tuesday, March 6'~, please provide contact information for your selected representative by noon that day. <br />Please don't hesitate to contact Trish McGuire (918-7327; pmcauire(c_rltownofcarrboro.ora) for additional <br />information or if you aze ready to inform us of your selected representative(s).
