At the November 1 Board meeting, the Commissioners approved an appropriation from contingency <br /> to pay one half of one year's membership in the Research Triangle Regional Partnership. The <br /> County's dues for January through June 1995 are based on 15 cents per capita which is equivalent to <br /> $7,050. In future years, the contribution from the central counties (Orange, Wake and Durham) is <br /> expected to increase to 30 cents per capita. The attached budget amendment (box #1, page #3) <br /> transfers $7,050 from the Board of Commissioners' contingency appropriation to the Economic <br /> Development Commission's budget for this purpose. <br /> Health Department <br /> 2. At the November 1, 1994 meeting, the Commissioners accepted an additional $3,374 in State funds <br /> for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program. The attached grant project ordinance accepts these <br /> additional funds. <br /> Coordinated Area Transportation <br /> 3. The North Carolina Department of Transportation has awarded Orange County $7,556 in special <br /> state funds to support rural general public transportation. The attached budget amendment (box # 2, <br /> page 3 of this abstract) appropriates these additional funds. <br /> 4. The Board of Commissioners at their September 20 meeting, approved an increase in the HeadStart <br />
