The Task Force is charged with (1) assessing the meeds of youth <br /> in Orange County, giving special attention to the needs of status <br /> offenders, (2) assisting the county in planning delinquency prevention <br /> programs and recommending community based alternatives (CBA) and (3) <br /> evaluating programs receiving CBA funds and recommending which programs <br /> should receive CBA funds in the future. <br /> The Task Force would like to address other issues and ask that the County <br /> Commissioners change their charge as follows: 1) "Assessing the needs of <br /> youth in Orange County and in cooperation with the Board of County <br /> Commissioners facilitate solutions to those needs" . 2) "Facilitating <br /> cooperation between and access to community resources that serve youth in <br /> Orange County. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : To approve changing the Charge of the Youth Services <br /> Needs Task Force as stated in this agenda abstract. <br />
