Partner agencies in this <br /> collaboration include, but are not limited to: <br /> • Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce <br /> • Job Link Career Center <br /> • Vocational Rehabilitation, Inc. <br /> • Department of Social Services <br /> • Compass Center for Women & Families <br /> • UNC Temporary Services <br /> • Avant Staffing <br /> • OCPEH, 100,000 Homes Task Force <br /> o CEF is a committed member of the 100,000 Homes Task Force, a collaboration of 20+ <br /> agencizs in Orange County that coordinates services for vulnerable, unsheltered <br /> members of the community. This ongoing collaboration significantly enhances the results <br /> of CEF programs as we are in constant contact with key service providers who are <br /> engaged in treatment and support for our members.Advocates gain institutional <br /> knowledge and mentorship through this established partnership. CEF built and maintains <br /> the shared cloud-based platform used by the agencies to screen potential referrals to the <br /> 100,000 Homes Task Force using a nationally recognized vulnerability assessment. <br /> • Inter-Faith Council for Social Service and Housing for New Hope <br /> o CEF works closely with area homeless services to gain program referrals and <br /> accomplish our goal of enabling sustained transitions out of homelessness. Service <br /> coordination includes: the co-location of services by Housing for New Hope in CEF's <br /> office; weekly contact between agency staff to collaborate on assisting sheltered and <br /> unsheltered individuals in accessing appropriate services or otherwise achieving goals. <br /> • Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health & Freedom House <br /> o CEF partners with community mental health clinics and substance abuse counselors to <br /> provide ongoing advocate support to individuals receiving treatment. We assist in <br /> referring new clients to agency services, and accept referrals from both agencies for <br /> assistance in gaining employment, financial coaching, and savings assistance, <br /> • Orange County Department of Housing, Human Rights & Community Development; CASA; <br /> Jackson Center; Justice United; EmPOWERment, Weaver Community Housing Association <br /> o CEF works with a collaboration of housing providers and housing advocates to ensure <br /> that Orange County residents who receive Housing Choice Vouchers (aka Section 8 <br /> vouchers) can find landlords willing to accept their vouchers, Our role has been to <br /> provide the one-on-one support to the tenants themselves, discerning their housing <br /> needs, locating the housing that will fit their needs, and making sure they have <br /> everything they need to successfully transition. <br /> h) Describe what would happen if requested funding is not awarded at all or if a reduced <br /> allocation is recommended. <br /> CEF's impact in the community has only grown over the years, as we continue to serve an ever- <br /> Main Application 1/25/2016 8:36:39 AM 9 o f 2 5 <br />
