Orange County's Affirmative Action policy and EEO poster will be posted on <br />bulletin boards located throughout the County's facilities and work areas. <br />Employees may voluntarily self-identify at anytime. <br />3. All employees will be advised of Orange County's policy and encouraged to <br />aid in Orange County's affirmative action efforts to ensure a fair and effective <br />program. <br />4. Briefirig sessions will be conducted annually for department heads and <br />supervisors to review the applicable regulations to discuss affirmative action <br />measures such as training and reasonable accommodations. <br />5. When making internal equal opportunity audits, implementation of this <br />affirmative action program will be reviewed. <br />6. Orange County's Personnel Department shall provide training to educate <br />department heads and supervisors on hiring qualified individuals which <br />disabilities and qualified special disable veterans and reasonable <br />accommodations. <br />7. When employees are featured in articles and pictures in Orange County <br />publications, employees who are qualified individual with disabilities and <br />qualified protected veterans shall be included. <br />8. Orange County's policy regarding equal employment and affirmative action <br />shall be distributed to all employees at least once a year. <br />G. Audit and Reporting Systems <br />The Human Resource Director has the responsibility for developing and preparing the <br />formal documents of the AAP. The Employment Manager is responsible for the <br />effective implementation of the AAP however; responsibility is likewise vested with <br />each department head and supervisor. Orange County's audit and reporting system is <br />designed to: <br />• Measures the effectiveness of the Affirmative Action Plan/Equal Employment <br />Opportunity (AAP/EEO) program; <br />• Document where known individuals with disabilities and qualified disabled <br />veterans have had the opportunity to participate in personnel activities; <br />• Identify problem areas where remedial action is needed; and <br />• Deternune the degree to which Orange County's Affirmative Action Plan <br />goals and objectives have been obtained. <br />The following activities are reviewed at least annually to ensure freedom from <br />stereotyping qualified individuals with disabilities and qualified protected veterans in <br />I~ <br />Page 4 of 10 <br />
