4 <br /> 1 — Rural Deviated Zonal Routes - This combined service will provide general public <br /> 2 service (no eligibility requirements) in the rural areas of Orange County on a deviated <br /> 3 fixed-route basis. He said other options are being considered. <br /> 44 Peter Murphy said there are about 10 funding sources supporting the variety of pubic <br /> 45 transportation services. He said there is an agreement with the NC Department of <br /> 46 Transportation (NCDOT) Public Transportation Division to oversee urban funding, which was a <br /> 47 major hurdle to overcome. He said these funding sources allow more routes to be offered <br /> 48 without using local monies. <br /> 49 Chair McKee asked if there is any benefit to connecting with the Burlington buses. <br /> 50 Conversation ensued about the Commuter Loop connecting with the Burlington buses. <br />
