January, 1987 between the <br /> County Manager and the Chapel Hill Postmaster, a joint <br /> project between the County and the Postal Service was <br /> undertaken to convert rural box numbers to permanently <br /> assigned house numbers. Since the adoption of the <br /> House Numbering Ordinance by the Board of <br /> Commissioners on April 21, 1987, three Chapel Hill <br /> rural routes (2, 5 and 8) and two Rougemont Routes (2 <br /> and 3) have been converted to street addresses. <br /> A portion of Rural ed 15 <br /> 13) has been prepared to house <br /> number addresses. The route (known by Damascus <br /> Church Road residents as Rural Route 13) includes that <br /> area along Damascus Church Road, from Meacham Road to <br />
