11414ir <br /> PROCLAMATION OF <br /> °JULY IS NATIONAL RECREATION AND PARKS MONTH° <br /> IN ORANGE COUNTY <br /> Whereas, positive leisure experiences are vital to good physical and mental <br /> health, and enhance the quality of life for all people; and <br /> whereas, the Orange County Board of County Commissioners recognizes the <br /> benefits derived to the County by offering these leisure <br /> experiences; and <br /> Whereas, the Orange County Recreation and Parks Department offers programs <br /> encompassing a multitude of activities that can result in personal <br /> accomplishment, self-satisfaction and family unity for all <br /> citizens, regardless of their background, ability, level or age; <br /> and <br /> Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to encourage and endorse <br /> the concept of "July is National Recreation and Parks Month" in <br /> Orange County; and <br /> Whereas, Governor Martin has proclaimed "July is National Recreation and <br /> Parks Month" in North Carolina; <br /> NON, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED THAT THE ORANGE coamr BOARD OF mum <br /> OCROIL9SIONERS DOES HEREBY PROCLAIM wJULY IS NATIONAL RECREATIM AND PARKS <br /> MONTH' IN ORANGE comm. <br /> BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the Board of Commissioners encourages all <br /> citizens of Orange County to participate in the leisure activities <br /> sponsored by the Orange County Recreation and Parks Department, <br /> not only during this designated month, but year-round. <br /> THIS, the 5th day of July, 1988. <br /> Shirley 7-- 1*. shall, Chair <br /> Orange Coun y Board of Commissioners <br /> Laszamammanallassavomarassonsts...............-- <br />
