Youth Baseball Officials Subsidy 3,640 <br /> Hillsborough Youth Athletic Association <br /> Cedar Grove Youth Baseball League both <br /> sponsor a rapidly growing youth baseball <br /> program serving hundreds of children. They <br /> are volunteer organizations providing this <br /> service. Our subsidy off-sets umpire pay <br /> for their games. <br /> TOTAL $. 139170 <br /> The decision to not offer theSe programs next year also <br /> impacts our personnel funding and revenue projections in the <br /> following manner: <br /> Temporary Personnel cost can be reduced approximately <br /> $2960 <br /> Revenue Projections can be reduced approximately <br /> $7450 <br /> The decision to not offer the above-outlined programs next <br /> 1 <br /> year or next season, depending on the type program, is based <br /> on two underlying premises: <br /> (1) that above all other target populations, children <br /> and senior citizens will continue to be top priority, with . <br /> focus on intergenerational programs to attempt to program <br /> with a family focus, touching as many generations as possible <br /> • with our programs, and <br /> (2) that our first obligation in program delivery is to <br /> serve those residents who may not be able to receive the <br /> service from another organization or agency or who do not <br /> have the discretionary income or transportation means to take <br /> advantage of similar services elsewhere. <br /> % . <br /> This department re-confirms its commitment to excellence each <br /> day by striving to ensure that each and every program that it <br /> is able to offer or park/recreation center site that it is <br /> responsible for having open to the public is a safe and <br /> accessible one, providing wholesome and constructive leisure <br /> opportunities. <br /> No matter what our funding level is each year, we will <br /> continue to operate with nothing short of sound professional <br /> judgement and commitment. Funding levels, however, affect <br /> our ability to adequately meet the level of needs/demands <br /> identified and with the addition of new commitments without <br /> new resources, delivery of existing programs must be <br /> adjusted. <br /> . . <br />
