Another RFP for community-based projects <br /> targeting minority communities was issued in December . Review of <br /> the RFP's indicated that additional guidance should be provided <br /> applicants regarding the development of educational materials and <br /> the need to coordinate proposals and activities with local health <br /> departments. Attached are copies of the revised RFP's. <br /> Applicants who have already submitted proposals in response to <br /> either RFP are asked to review and revise their proposals as <br /> necessary to meet these additional requirements. Applicants who <br /> have not previously applied may now do so. <br /> . In revising previously submitted proposals or developing new <br /> ones applicants should note the following requirements: <br /> 1. All applicants must be local health departments or have <br /> the endorsement of the local health department. • <br /> 2. Each applicant should submit a statement that <br /> a. all educational materials and plans for educational <br /> group sessions will be reviewed by a local Citizens Review Panel <br /> appointed. or approved by the local board of health (or the State <br /> • Citizen's Review Panel if the project has a statewide focus) ; and <br /> • <br />
