Box 8181 <br /> Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> Dear Mr. Link: <br /> Re: Elementary-School Site Purchase <br /> As we have discussed, the Orange County Board of Education approved <br /> on June 6, 1988, the formal agreements to purchase the necessary land for <br /> the elementary school proposed in our Long Range Capital Improvement Plan. <br /> The Board approved the agreements, which are attached, as part of my <br /> recommendation that was outlined in my memorandum to the Board dated <br /> June 6. The memorandum cites only direct land acquisition cost and <br /> does not :include the necessary legal fees that are included in the total <br /> budget. <br /> On behalf of the Board of Education, I respectfully request that <br /> these agreements be approved by the Board of Commissioners and that the <br /> Board of Education receive immediate authorization to execute deeds of <br /> purchase in that we have satisfied all requirments of the Board of <br /> Commissioners regarding this site. The last requirement, to my knowledge, <br /> was to determine if the site.was suitable for on-site septic facilities <br /> and on-site water source through a well. I have received documentation <br /> from'a certified soil scientist that the site meets both requirements, <br /> if necessary.
