ORIGINAL <br /> V NORTH • <br /> CAROLINA SERVICE AGREEMENT <br /> Orange COUNTY <br /> THIS SERVICE AGREEMENT entered into as of the 1st day of July <br /> 19 88 , by and bewtween COST CONTAINMENT, INC. a corporation incorporated under <br /> the laws of the State of North Carolina with a place of business in Wake County, <br /> North Carolina (308-B Sherwee Dr., Post Office 1661, Raleigh, North Carolina <br /> 27602), hereafter referred to as Contractor, and Orange County a <br /> body corporate and politic, of Orange County, Hillsborough. NC <br /> hereafter referred to as County shall be valid for 12 months commencing the <br /> effective dates hereof unless terminated pursuant to this agreement. <br /> • <br /> FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF SERVICE PAYMENTS and the mutual covenants and <br /> agreements herein set forth, IT IS STIPULATED AND AGREED: <br /> 1. SERVICE PAYMENTS: County agrees to pay to Contractor for service: <br /> (a) Fifty-five cents ($.55) - per transaction per month. A <br /> transaction is the moiling of the correct amount and number of food <br /> stamp coupons (hereafter called coupons), correctly addressed and <br /> postage prepaid by the Contractor to a designated client of the <br /> County, at an address furnished to the Contractor by the State <br /> (F.S.I.S.). The address to be in the form of an insert for a window <br /> envelope. <br /> (b) The cost of postage for each transaction in addition to the <br /> transaction fee. Postage cost will be itemized for the County each <br /> month. In the event the U.S. Postal Service increases the cost of <br /> the 1st Class mailing during the contract period, the increased costs <br /> of postage (to the Contractor) shall be borne by the County beginning <br /> with the month such increase occurs. <br /> All monthly service payments shall be paid to Cost Containment, Inc. P.O. Box 1661, <br /> Raleigh, North Carolina 27602. Campensation at the rate set above to represent <br /> full and complete compensation for services rendered under the terms of this agree- <br /> ment with total cost to the County not to exceed $6600.00 for the 12-month period <br /> covered by this agreement. <br /> • <br />
