Fikes <br /> 1-Funding Approval Form <br /> 2-Emergency Shelter Grant Agreement <br /> 3-Agreement w/InterFaith Council <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBER- , <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: To approve the execution of the Emergency Shelter Grant <br /> Agreement and Funding Approval form with NRCD and the <br /> execution of an Agreement with the subgrantee-InterFaith <br /> Council for Social Service. <br /> BACKGROUND: On May 25, 1988, Orange County was awarded $6,949 in <br /> Emergency Shelter Grant funds to be .used for the IFC <br /> Shelter for the Homeless in Chapel Hill . The InterFaith <br /> Council will serve as subrecipient of the grant funds and <br /> will expend funds for the ongoing operation and maintenance <br /> of the Shelter. <br /> In order to receive funds, the County must execute a Grant <br /> Agreement and Funding Approval form. Th'se documents along <br /> • with the Approved Grant Application and regulations <br /> constitute a contract between NRCD and Orange County. <br /> Additionally, an Agreement between InterFaith and Orange - <br /> County must be executed. This agreement will govern the <br /> expenditure of funds for the approved activities. <br /> All documents have been forwarded to the appropriate County <br /> Officials for review <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : <br /> Approve the execution of the Emergency Shelter Grant <br /> Agreement, Funding Approval and the Agreement with Inter- <br /> Faith Council and Authorize the Chair to sign on behalf <br /> of the Board. <br /> A <br />
