The exception is a small area to the North and <br /> that portion which extends into Durham County. <br /> The area North is beyond the five (5) road mile limit The <br /> areas outside Orange County would require rating by Durham <br /> County. <br /> This would comply with new provisions approved by the <br /> Insurance Service Office, which allows rated fire <br /> departments to expand their road districts by one (1) road <br /> mile. This would allow residents within the one mile <br /> expanded rated district to be eligible for a reduction in <br /> fire insurance premiums. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: That the board approve expansion of the East Orange <br /> Insurance rated district from four (4) road miles to <br /> five (5) road miles. <br />
