The resolution qualifies the County to receive grant <br /> funds for the re-mapping project. <br /> BACKGROUND: Counties seeking grant funds from the State for improving their <br /> land records must pass a resolution of participation each year to qualify <br /> for the grant award. Orange has participated in the State program since <br /> 1979, and has received matching funds which it has been able to use in <br /> its Land Records Program, a multi-year, multi-phased program of re-mapping, <br /> and computerization. The grant program is administered through-the :Land <br /> Records Office of NRCD, and the fund amount is determined each year by <br /> the General Assembly. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : Adopt the resolution and forward a copy to the nate. <br /> • <br /> . . <br /> • <br />
