I. -* '268 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> 306F REVERE ROAD <br /> HILLSBOROUGH, NORTH CAROLINA 27278 <br /> 47' <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> ON THE ASSIGNMENT OF <br /> HOUSE NUMBERS TO CHAPEL HILL RURAL ROUTE 11 AND <br /> A PORTION OF ROUTE 15 IN ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. <br /> Pursuant to the requirements of the General Statutes of N.C. , <br /> Chapter 153A, Section 240, notice is hereby given that a <br /> public hearing will be held in the Franklin Street Post <br /> Office in Chapel Hill on Monday, June 21, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> for the purpose of giving all interested citizens an <br /> opportunity to speak for or against the assignment of house <br /> numbers on' Rural Route 11 and a portion of Rural Route 15 <br /> • (Damascus Church Road) . <br /> ASSIGNMENT OF HOUSE NUMBERS <br /> • Chapel Hill Rural Route 11 and a portion of Rural Route 15 <br /> (formerly Rural Route 5) are proposed for a change from <br /> existing rural box numbers to a system of permanently <br /> assigned house numbers. Route 11 encompasses an area <br /> eastward on Highway 54 from Neville Road to Old Fayetteville <br /> Road extending to Hillsborough Road (SR 1009), then northward <br /> to Calvander and east along Homestead Road to N.C. 86, <br /> • including Rogers Road and Seawell School Road. The portion <br /> • of. Route 15 proposed for conversion to street addresses <br /> consists of houses along Damascus Church Road, from Meacham <br /> Road to Smith Level Road (formerly Route 5) . <br /> All interested citizens are invited to attend this hearing <br /> • and be heard. Public comment must be received during the <br /> public hearing. Changes may be made in the advertised <br /> proposal which reflect debate, objections and discussion at <br /> the hearing. <br /> Questions regarding the proposal should be directed to Don <br /> Powell in the Orange County Planning Department.
