•
ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT 6
306F REVERE ROAD
HILLSBOROUGH, NORTH CAROLINA 27278
elrA
MEMORANDUM
*TO: • Emily Crudup, Planner II
FROM: Warren Faircloth, Erosion Control Supervisor
SUBJECT: Oak Crest Subdivision
DATE: April 29, 1988
I have reviewed this subdivision and have the following
comments.
1. Drainage easements 30' wide are needed on the
drainagewgys through lot 2; lots 3, 28, 39, 38, 36, and
35; lots 30 and 32; lots 12 and 11.
2. The plan meets stormwater management requirements as far
as lot size is concerned, but provisions must also be
made to control the peak rate of runoff for the 10-year
• storm to the predevelopment rate because the subdivision
is located in University Lake Watershed. (This is an
• Erosion Control Ordinance requirement. ) Meeting this
requirement will probably involve a detention pond. I
would encourage the developer to consider building a
pond on the drainageway just above the Oak Crest Drive
at "the T-intersection. I would encourage the developer
or agent contact me to discuss these requirements.
3. The developer or agent should contact me to discuss the
erosion control plan before proceeding with the approval
process; We need to discuss the plan, particularly the
crossing at Price's Creek and stabilization of the
ditches on the proposed roads.
/1
II '
.A
c: Orange Affiliated Partners
