Weiss called for increased <br />home and community-based spending for <br />elderly care and the increased awareness of <br />business to the needs of elderly consumers. <br />In response to an audience query, she advised <br />that it is important to engage members of <br />Chambers of Commerce in the planning for <br />aging. Weiss applauded the community action <br />in Orange County and encouraged the <br />audience to keep their elected <br />representatives accountable for addressing <br />the needs of the population. <br />Following the keynote address, forum attendees were divided into discussion <br />circles such that each participant went to two discussions. The first concurrent <br />circles were Housing and Transportation, followed by Information/Access to <br />Services and Transitional Care.
