PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT 17 <br /> ORDINANCE: Zoning Ordinance <br /> REFERENCE: Article 2.3 .3 Board of Adjustment Administration <br /> ORIGIN OF AMENDMENT: `x Staff Planning Board_x_BOCC <br /> Public Other : <br /> STAFF PRIORITY RECOMMENDATION: Mighx Middle Low <br /> Comment: <br /> EXPECTED PUBLIC HEARING DATE: May 25, 1987 <br /> PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT: To revise Article 2.3 .3 .4 , making <br /> public notification procedures for <br /> ordinance amendments uniform - among <br /> ordinances. <br /> IMPACTS/ ISSUES: The general public has been somewhat con- <br /> fused by different public notification <br /> procedures used to amend different County <br /> Ordinances. A review of amendment proce- <br /> dures used by the Planning Department has <br /> Identified several minor inconsistencies in <br /> notification procedures. This amendment <br /> will eliminate one such Inconsistency . <br /> Notification procedures for variances and <br /> "Class B" Special Use Permit applications <br /> that are presented to the Board of Adjust- <br /> ment are contained In Article 2.3.3.4 of the <br /> Zoning Ordinance. Although part of the <br /> Zoning Ordinance, these procedures are not <br /> the same as notification procedures for <br /> Zoning Text, Zoning Atlas, and Planned <br /> Development contained in Article 20. They <br /> are different In the ' following respect: <br /> under Article 2, property must be posted at <br /> least 15 days prior to the Board of Adjust <br /> ment meeting; under Article 20, when there <br /> -is to be a zoning atJas change, property Is <br /> to be posted at least 10 days prior to the <br /> public hearinc. <br />
