29 <br /> 1 Planning Director's Recommendation: The Planning Director recommends approval of the <br /> 2 Statement of Consistency, indicating the amendments are reasonable and in the public interest, <br /> 3 contained in Attachment 2 and proposed amendment package contained in Attachment 3. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Planning Board Recommendation: At its August 3, 2016 meeting, the Board voted 7-1 to <br /> 6 recommend approval of the Statement of Consistency and the amendment package. <br /> 7 Additionally, the Ordinance Review Committee (ORC), a subcommittee of the Planning Board, <br /> 8 reviewed the proposed amendments at its July 6 meeting and approved notes from this meeting <br /> 9 are included in Attachment 6. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Following the August 3rd Planning Board meeting, County Attorney staff completed their review <br /> 12 of the proposed text amendments. As a result of the review, edits were made to the proposed <br /> 13 amendments. The edits made after the August 3rd meeting are identified with yellow <br /> 14 highlighting in Attachment 3. Due to these edits, Planning staff will present the proposed <br /> 15 amendments for a second review and recommendation at the September 7, 2016 Planning <br /> 16 Board meeting.
