Current zoning allows for some home-based <br /> businesses but restricts signage. Zoning and signage regulations should reflect the benefit <br /> that small, community-owned commercial spaces can bring to the neighborhood. <br /> Provide Pursue a proactive effort for public-private partnership with model senior <br /> opportunities and living, especially with Piedmont Health. Senior housing, independent but <br /> services for elders supportive, is a huge priority. The partner would need to be a provider/developer <br /> to age in place/in committed to serving neighborhood residents and affordable spaces, not simply high-end <br /> the neighborhood senior needs. <br /> Ensure zoning allows for elder development or services that increase <br /> livability and accessibility of these long-term neighbors. This is the one form of <br /> housing that residents, even those that were wary of any increase in density, were <br /> interested in finding a way to support. <br /> Support location of a community-health facility in the community. St. Paul's <br /> Village already has a proposed community-health center planned in partnership with <br /> Piedmont. Increased support from the governments to make this possible in the near future <br /> would be beneficial to all parties. <br /> 11 <br />
