The Board also set a public. hearing for <br />March 27`s on a draft ordinance that will, if adopted, enact asix-month moratorium on residential development. The <br />review process includes appointment of a committee made up of advisory boazd members, at-large citizens, and <br />representatives of the Board of Aldermen, Town of Chapel Hill, Orange County and the University of North <br />Carolina at Chapel Hill. You may review the materials associated with this matter (Item D4) on the Town's website <br />at http://www.townofcarrboro.orgBoA/Agendas/2007/02_20_2007.him. A map of the Northem Study Area is <br />included among these materials. <br />The Boazd has directed staff to request that the Town of Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina at Chapel <br />Hill each identify one representative who will serve on the Northem Study Area Plan Implementation Review <br />Committee (NSAPIRC). The Board did not specify the number of representatives to be identified by the Board of <br />County Commissioners. The schedule for this process is fairly tight; the first meeting of the NSAPIRC is scheduled <br />for Thursday, Mazch 15a', at 7:30 p.m. As the Board of Aldermen will be making appoinhnents to the committee on <br />Tuesday, March 6~', please provide contact information for your selected representative by noon that day. <br />Please don't hesitate to contact Trish McGuire (918-7327; pmcguire(c~,townofcanboro.org) for additional <br />information or if you are ready to inform us of your selected representative(s).
