Community events are co-sponsored as needed with agencies <br /> such as the Commission for Women, Women's Center, and Coalition <br /> for Battered Women. Program on violence against women and a <br /> support group for child sexual abuse/incest 'survivors are co- <br /> sponsored with the Women's Center. <br /> Staff of OCRCC are active in the Association of Community <br /> Agencies and United Way network meetings. <br /> Orange County Recreation and Parks Department <br /> The Recreation and Parks Department promotes healthy <br /> lifestyles by providing accessible, wholesome and constructive <br /> leisure opportunities to the citizens of Orange County. The <br /> department offers leisure services through programs and parks. <br /> Instructional programs provided by the department include the <br /> arts, lifetime sports, nature oriented activities, health <br /> education classes, general leisure programs and other skill <br /> training and development classes. The department schedules <br /> sports leagues for children and adults, county wide special <br /> events, clubs, and trips for children, adults, senior citizens <br /> and those with special needs. Service areas are: special <br /> events, general programs, athletics, special populations, senior <br /> citizens, facility reservations, and information/referral. <br /> Coordination <br /> In cooperation with Orange County Schools the Recreation and <br /> Parks Department is able to provide services at the school <br /> facilities during non-school hours.
