Referrals are also made to Orange Enterprise where clients attend <br /> programs, and to Housing and Community Development where AFDC <br /> recipients may be eligible for Section 8. <br /> Social Work Services works with a large number of agencies <br /> through its programs and services, and provides and receives <br /> referrals from most of the agencies in the county. <br /> Day Care Services for Children coordinates with Day Care <br /> Services Agency, Child Care Networks, and child care centers to <br /> provide day care services to young children and their families. <br /> A department representative attends the meetings of child care <br /> directors in the county and coordinates with other agencies <br /> serving young children such as the Child Care Task Force, Orange <br /> County Partnership for Young Children, KidSCope and Head Start. <br /> The Adolescent Parenting Project (APP) provides services to <br /> prevent teenage pregnancy and to assist teen mothers and their <br /> families with problems associated with adolescent parenthood. <br /> The program coordinates services with Adolescents in Need, <br /> Planned Parenthood, Health Department and both school systems. <br /> Protective Services for Children establishes protective <br /> services for juveniles alleged to be abused, neglected, or <br /> dependent. Rape Crisis coordinates a group for abused children <br /> with the department. Cooperative Extension Services provides <br /> services for meal planning, shopping, and budgeting. Foster care <br /> services are coordinated with OPC Mental Health, while additional <br /> coordination is implemented with UNC Hospitals Department of <br /> Pediatrics, private physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, law <br /> -24- <br />
