for families who are developing a budget for purchasing a house. <br /> The agency is currently working with OPC mental Health to <br /> provide affordable housing for the mentally ill and works with <br /> the Coalition for Battered Women, InterFaith Council and other <br /> groups interested in developing low income housing. <br /> Orange County Child Support Enforcement <br /> Child Support Enforcement (CSE) offers all basic services <br /> necessary to establish and collect child support obligations. <br /> The four major service areas are: locating absent parents, <br /> establishing paternity, establishing child support obligations, <br /> and collecting child support payments. <br /> Coordination <br /> Coordination and referral between CSE and the Department of <br /> Social Services' Income Maintenance Division has been established <br /> by federal mandate. Every person receiving AFDC or Medicaid is <br /> referred to CSE for pursuit of a child support obligation from <br /> the non-custodial parent. Referrals are given to and received <br /> from Child Protective Services, and there has to be verification <br /> of child support payments for people receiving food stamps. <br /> CSE provides verification of child support payments to <br /> Housing and Community Development for recipients of Section 8. <br /> There is also the sharing of information through access to the <br /> CSE computer system. <br /> Additional referrals are given to and received from: IFC- <br /> Community House, OCIM, Sheriff's Department, and Dispute <br /> -15- <br />
