Coordination <br /> The agency is able to provide services for its clients <br /> through the Community Alternative Program of DSS. Health fairs <br /> and other educational programs are provided jointly with the <br /> Chapel Hill Senior Center. <br /> Referrals are made to and received from the Department on <br /> Aging, InterFaith Council, OPC Mental Health, Housing and <br /> Community Development, JOCCA, Meals on Wheels, and Triangle <br /> Hospice. <br /> IFC-Community House <br /> The primary mission of InterFaith Council (IFC) is to <br /> advocate for comprehensive social services for Community House <br /> guests, and to plan, organize, and deliver quality services for <br /> the homeless and other low-income individuals in the community. <br /> The agency is concerned with serving the immediate needs of the <br /> homeless and the working poor, as well as correcting the <br /> underlying social conditions that contribute to these issues. <br /> Coordination <br /> IFC provides programs jointly with Day Care Services <br /> Association, JOCCA and others. Day Care Services helps families <br /> residing at Community House obtain child care and financial <br /> assistance for child care providers. <br /> Referrals are made to and received from agencies providing <br /> specific services such as subsidized housing, employment, <br /> counseling, substance abuse treatment, health care and emergency <br /> assistance. <br /> -10- <br />
