Referrals are made to DSS, the Sheriff's Department, Chapel <br /> Hill Housing Authority, and Housing and Community Development's <br /> Section 8 Program. <br /> Agency representatives serve on task forces with members of <br /> Rape Crisis, Women's Center, and the Commission for Women to <br /> address the issues and needs of women. These agencies co-sponsor <br /> workshops and support groups with each other. <br /> OPC Mental Health coordinates with the Coalition through the <br /> 24-hour Crisis Line. OPC provides staff support for the <br /> telephone line. <br /> Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS) <br /> This program offers financial planning, debt management, and <br /> advocacy for residents of Orange County. The agency also <br /> participates in housing seminars for first-time home buyers. <br /> Coordination <br /> CCCS works with Habitat for Humanity and Orange Community <br /> Housing Corporation to provide counseling sessions for first time <br /> home buyers, and helps to determine the eligibility for <br /> mortgages, and recommends monthly mortgage payments. All Habitat <br /> for Humanity participants are required to have at least two <br /> budget counseling sessions prior to moving into their Habitat <br /> home. <br /> CCCS provides financial counseling for parenting teenagers <br /> through the Adolescent Parenting Project administered by the <br /> Department of Social Services.
