It is consistent with the district's overall <br /> instructional goals, and would best meet the needs of our students. <br /> The Committee discussed how to assure that eighth grade students in the year 1995-96 are <br /> prepared with the appropriate competencies. As a result of that discussion,Ann Hart and Sheila <br /> Cory met with middle school principals and Phil Rollain to consider stopgap approaches that could <br /> be used until the structures are in place for the competencies to be developed throughout the grades <br /> by a teacher and specialist.
