The 1994-95 budget <br /> included funds for an approximate 15 percent increase in <br /> health insurance cost beginning January 1, 1995. The County <br /> costs shown on the attachment are within the budget. <br /> The County health insurance subsidy amounts for <br /> individual and dependent coverage shown on the attachment <br /> are calculated in the same way as in past years. In summary, <br /> both the County and the employee cost for the BC/BS plan are <br /> increased by approximately 13.6 percent. The same dollar <br /> amount of subsidy for dependent coverage has been applied to <br /> the Healthsource plan as that provided for BC/BS. <br /> Employees will see the rate increases in paychecks <br /> issued on December 2, 1994 for coverage effective <br /> January 1, 1995.
