ORDINANCE ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURES
" Issue: Staffi does not always have ode
ordinance enforcement. y adequate personnel available for
Suggested Action: Review effectiveness of ordinance enforcement
and insure adequate procedures to enforce ordinance provisions.
Perhaps this would be a job for a new Special Projects planner.
* COMMENTS
,, Sharlene P'lkey reported that ordinance enforcement is just
beginning and tfat with the influx of people, a very strong and steady
enforcement
pro ram will be important.
COUNTY PLANNING RIORITIES
SET OF ISSUES
The Planning Board would like clear direction from the
commissioners concerning the planning items which should receive top
priority during the next six months (from now until June 1986) . It
would also be helpful to have a tentative priority list for the
following year (Tune 1986-June 1987) .
Below are listed the top planning priorities given by Planning
•
Board members atLa Planning Board meeting last April, as well as
priorities suggested in subsequent meetings and discussions. Included
are priorities given by at least two or three members. Listed beside
t each priority isi the tentative Planning Department division under
whose responsibility the item would likely be included although these
designations may be changed by the Planning Director. In addition,
the proposed new Special Projects division is listed in some cases.
After these planning priorities are discussed, there will be an
opportunity for other priorities to be added.
SET OF SUGGESTED ACTIONS
The Planning Board would like the Commissioners to rank these
planning items in a priority order so that the Planning Board and
Planning Department will have guidance concerning which items should
receive immediate attention. Therefore we would appreciate some
direction cone the following g questions:
(1) Which items should receive top priority for completion by
June 1986 (FY 1985-86) and in what order of priority
should they be completed?
(2) Which items should receive priority (in FY 1986-87) for
completion by June 1987 and in what order of priority
should they be completed?
(3) Which items should be delayed until after June 1987?
SET OF PLANNING ITEMS TO BE RANKED IN PRIORITY ORDER
1.
